Corianté Solutions Shipping Policy
Corianté Solutions (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides freight forwarding and logistics services via air and sea from the United States to Jamaica. By using our services, you (“the customer” or “you”) agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Services Offered
Air Freight Shipping: Packages shipped via air, cleared, and available in Jamaica within 4–5 business days after departure.
Sea Freight Shipping: Shipments consolidated and shipped by sea, cleared through Montego Bay before delivery to Kingston or May Pen. Estimated transit time: 3–6 weeks.
> Rates are subject to change based on airline, shipping line, or customs adjustments. Customers will be notified of any changes in advance.
3. Pickup & Delivery
Pickup Point: Free pickups available at designated public locations (e.g., May Pen Plaza) on Wednesdays & Saturdays between 2–5 PM.
Home Delivery (Optional):
$1,000+ JMD for out-of-town locations (pricing varies by courier).
Unclaimed Packages: Customers must collect within 7 days of arrival. Storage fees of $100 JMD/day apply thereafter.
4. Customs & Duties
Packages with a declared value of over $100 USD are subject to additional customs fees, duties, and taxes as required by Jamaican Customs.
Customers are responsible for all customs charges, regardless of package contents or declared value.
Corianté Solutions is not responsible for delays caused by customs inspections.
5. Payments
All shipping fees must be paid in full before package release.
For high-value or bulk shipments, a 50% deposit may be required before forwarding.
Payment options: Cash, Bank Transfer, or Approved Digital Payment Methods.
6. Insurance & Liability
Standard shipping rates do not include insurance.
Customers may purchase insurance at $2.50 USD per $100 declared value.
Without insurance, Corianté Solutions is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to items once shipped.
Liability is limited to the value declared at the time of shipping and capped at $100 USD per shipment if uninsured.
7. Prohibited & Restricted Items
Customers must comply with Jamaican and U.S. import/export regulations. Prohibited items include but are not limited to:
Firearms, ammunition, explosives
Illegal drugs or substances
Counterfeit goods
Hazardous materials (flammables, chemicals, batteries over airline limits)
Perishables (unless pre-approved)
Corianté Solutions reserves the right to refuse any package that does not meet shipping guidelines.
8. Customer Responsibilities
Provide accurate shipping details (name, contact, package description, invoice).
Pay all fees (shipping, customs, storage, insurance if selected).
Collect packages within the designated timeframe.
Please note that shipping timelines are estimates and are subject to airline/ship schedules, as well as customs clearance.
9. Limitation of Liability
Corianté Solutions is not liable for:
Delays caused by customs, airlines, shipping lines, or force majeure events.
Seizure or confiscation of prohibited goods by authorities.
Damage, loss, or theft of uninsured shipments.
10. Amendments
This Shipping Policy may be updated from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on our official communication channels and apply to all future shipments.
